how can I build an inexpensive retaining wall without it looking cheap?

I have a planter with about 6inches of dirt. I want to build a retaining wall so I can plant small bushes and plants. Of course i’m on a small budget.

  1. Use cynder block then stucco the cynder blocks.

    I did a four ft high 30 ft long wall for under $200

    Took me a looooonnnng time though.
