What is the best filler for the driveway?

Our driveway consists of two strips of concrete, with grass/dirt in the middle. My lawn and the neighbors lawn surrounds the driveway. Due to alot of rain and ppl having trouble staying on the concrete while backing up, the grass/dirt has been dug up leaving a muddy mess. What is the best thing to use to fill the holes and prevent the mess from happening again?

Embedd some river rock or mexican pot rock into the mud but below the grade of the lawn so that you don’t end up dmaging the mower this spring.
