The Architectural Technology program prepares students for careers in the construction industry, working with architects, engineers, builders, contractors and municipal building departments. Using state-of-the-art computer technology, students prepare designs, construction drawings and specifications needed to communicate with clients, construction professionals and approval authorities. Student activities include preparing drawings for residential, industrial, commercial and institutional building types. Students are introduced to building materials, construction methods, structural design, mechanical and electrical services, building codes, contracts, specifications, and the business environment for providing design and construction services. Centennial’s Architectural Technology program places a strong emphasis on protecting the environment, energy conservation and sustainable design and construction strategies.

I have a group of engineers associated with me and I am looking for partners in USA , UK, & Aus to help market
The group of engineers are experienced and are from various disciplines. We are all with high to excellent expertise in CAD and a lot of specialized softwares. Please note that we are not software developers but engineers who would work on real life projects. Our special expertise is in ship design, plant design, structural analysis, Piping analysis and design.
What we are looking for are partners to front end our effort in their country. His/her job would be to explore clients , do the liasion, Realize payments and act on a healthy commission/fee as a percentage or agreed part of the project value .
We are based in India.
If any of your engineers have centerless grinding experience, I may be able to help you. Drop me a line at Linkedin at MyLinkedinPowerForum dot com
i need to choose any one of them i want it to be easy to research yet fun
i cant choose mechanical or electrical
just scan over it

I would recommend Traffic Engineering. You could do a project on what times a busy intersection or stretch of road becomes congested and at what traffic flow rates/volumes, or how many people actually stop at STOP signs at different intersection types, or how many pedestrians cross against the light at a signalized intersection, or lots of other cool things that you could study outside in the field.
Python Design Patterns
Alex Martelli
Design Patterns must be studied in the context on the language in which they’ll get implemented — the Gang of Four made that point strongly in their book, though almost everybody else seems not to have noticed. This talk explores some “classic” DPs in all the various categories — Creational, Structural, and Behavioral — studying how they show up in Python programs and how they interact with Python’s special strengths.
Speaker Bio:Alex Martelli is Uber Tech Lead (Production Systems) at Google. Alex is the author of “Python in a Nutshell”, co-editor of the “Python Cookbook”, a Member of the Python Software Foundation, and winner of the 2002 Activators’ Choice Award and 2006 Frank Willison award for outstanding contributions to the Python community. How do I track visitors to my site when I’m not allowed to add tracking code?
I need to track visitors to a pre-designed website that I purchased from my network marketing company but I am not allowed to add tracking code to the site or make any structural changes. Is there a workaround for this kind of problem or perhaps external software that can track visitors based on a URL?
If your not allowed don’t do it! If you are violating terms and agreements with a publisher or with a web-host you might want to find a 3rd party website that you can simply wnter the adress and get the results like what time, country, and ip visitors came from. In fact your hosting provider might be able to hand this info over to you. Good Luck
Drafters prepare detailed drawings based on rough sketch specifications and calculations made by scientists, engineers, architects, and designers. Various occupations drafting graduates are qualified to seek are detailer, machine drafter, designer, architectural drafter, structural drafter, survey technician and drafter, electrical drafter, engineering drawing checker, drafting department supervisor, and CAD drafter, operator, or technician. The Drafting & Design Technology (DDT) program at Bevill State Community College can be completed in just two years. Persons interested in becoming drafters should possess good skills in the application of basic math, including basic arithmetic, basic algebra, and geometry. Good writing and oral communication skills, along with the ability to follow instructions and sketches, are also important.
For more information about this program visit Bevill State at http://www.bscc.edu/pos_drafting.php

I’ll like to know what PDMS-Structures is all about and how it takes to learn it. Is it like other structural softwares like STAAD PRO, etc? does it involve calculations like others. please enlighten me and the basic requirements or prequisites for this software (PDMS)
PDMS consists of a MS-Access database located on a file server, a MS-Access databaseapplication (which can be started locally or from the server) and some optional programs such as the HISLink server that links PDMS to the local hospital information system or the HL7link server that connects PDMS with the outer world using HL-7.
So the first thing you should know about me is that I can adapt myself to almost any of the engineering fields.
I’ve done robotics, computers, electronics, structural design, and a bit of architecture & interior design. Well, I just graduated last week today and signed up for my general engineering courses at USI, where I may later transfer to IUPUI. (since there isn’t really a focus until year 3).
So, I’m having trouble deciding which focus I should major in, because it seems like everyone wants to do computer engineering, and mechanical engineering feels like mostly drafting and less problem-solving. I want to try to land a career that is modern, cutting-edge, but stable and something I can "climb the corporate ladder" in.
Like:
Green/Passive home design (products, materials, architecture)
Consumer electronics engineering
Aerospace engineering
Computer hardware/software design.
Game Engine Design/programming (not as stable, but more fun)
So does anyone have any tips, experience, or suggestions to help me decide?
Thanks!
Thanks for the clarification, Max! That may actually sway my decision.
Well first (no offense) throw out your misconceptions. Mechanical engineering is not mostly drafting. Drafters draft, and that is an entirely different profession… Now it would be fair to say tha mechanical engineers are proficient in drafting as are most of the engineering fields. Mechanical engineers are responsible for designing many of the things you see today including cars, aircraft in part, tractors, guns, and many other things. It all depend on what you want to do, but mechanical engineering is likely the most broad field of engineering you could go into simply because most of the other engineering disciplines use parts of mechanical engineering. If you want to advance and be involved in cutting edge things I would suggest something in nanotechnology since that is on a HUGE rise, which would be mechanical engineerings by the way… Aside from mechanical I would suggest aerospace or computer engineering. Not to sound biased but mechanical engineering is probably the most stable. There is a giant shortage of them, and since it is the most broad they are needed for many companies. All the other engineering fields are fairly focused and so only certain companies will hire them.
